OM-hosting provides hardware and software optimised for HTML5 Video Conferencing based on OpenMeetings. With additional features like secure, redundant and scalable file storage, scaling with additional Media Server instances (Cluster only), automatic SSL certification and a simple online web interface to manage your server and cluster installation & status.

Features

Unlimited rooms and users

You can create unlimited conference rooms and users. Concurrent users are limited by the type or configuration & package you choose. See below server packages for numbers of load test results.

Self service

Restart the service and hardware or switch between software version using a simple Web UI. If you rent multiple servers you can manage them all from within the same account too!

Deploy to your region

You can choose which region to deploy, we currently offer North-America and Europe (Central-West) as options. You can also move your server once installed to a different region.

Choose OpenMeetings version or your own custom image

By default we install the latest stable OpenMeetings version. We usually offer the latest 3 stable versions. Plus the current SNAPSHOT/Beta version (for anybody keen to preview the next release). You can switch between versions via our self-service panel to other versions available. To host your own custom OpenMeetings image please contact our support.

Integrate into your website or E-Learning platform

You have full access to the Soap and Rest API of your server instance to integrate it into your website or E-Learning platform. Or using existing plugins, for example the OpenMeetings Moodle Plugin. See for example the Integration for Node.js

Software and hardware upgrade

If there are new versions of OpenMeetings available you can upgrade your server. Security updates we will push regularly to all customers. The same for hardware upgrades: If you hardware gets old we switch you automatically to a newer stack. Your users and files automatically move with you.

Self-Service your server via the OM-Hosting.com web interface

Securely access your server:

  • Server URL – the server URL is hosted under a sub-domain of om-hosting.com and secured via HTTPS
  • Initial credentials – You can modify those later 
  • Server details – Your OpenMeetings version and the region you deploy to
  • File system usage – We use a secure and redundant data store for your files and recordings. If you run out of space you can apply for an upgrade

Manage your server:

  • Restart the services – You can safely restart the services. Data will be secure. 
  • Reset the hardware – You can safely reset the hardware to a different machine. Your data moves with you. This can also be used to switch between newer hardware when available
  • Deploy to different region or different OpenMeetings version – If you choose, you can also start over without your previous data and with a blank server. This option also enables moving between regions and OpenMeetings versions
